Safety For you
If you want to travel to an area where a history of terrorist attacks or abductions has made it a habit:Discuss with your family what they will do during an emergency. Make sure your items are in order before going home.
As previously mentioned, it is a good idea to register your travel with state state.
Remember to leave a detailed itinerary and number or copies of your passport or other citizenship documents with a friend or relative in the United States.
Be friendly but be careful about discussing personal matters or your itinerary

Leave any personal or business papers in your hotel room.
Your followers or "loiterers" look for the following people for your comings and travel observation.
Keep a mental shelter as a safe haven, such as police stations, hotels, and hospitals. If you have a bomb exploded or near gunfire, you formulate a plan of action for what to do.
Could anyone else know your travel plans? If you change your plans keep them informed.
Report a suspicious activity to the local police and to the nearest US embassy or consulate.
